This is totes old news, but I’m sure some of you remember Diane von Furstenberg’s Wonder Woman collection from Fall 2008, which she launched with an accompanying DC Comics collaboration one-shot entitled “Be the Wonder Woman You Can Be.” While there were some pretty pieces within the collection, I was most intrigued about the comic, which I actually didn’t read until just now [which you can read here].
In “Be the Wonder Woman You Can Be,” the three main characters, named Diva, Viva, and Fifa [… yeah], are faced with dilemmas where a DvF’s head explodes onto the scene [with an accompanying tiny Wonder Woman next to her gigantic hair] and advises each girl to “be the Wonder Woman they can be.” With this mantra in mind, each girl manages to speak up at an all-male work meeting, jump on stage and instantly become a rock star, and to hire a babysitter in order to enter [and win!] a gourmet cooking contest, all whilst appearing in a DvF ensemble at some point within each of their respective stories. Soooo Wonder Woman!
… wait, what?

I do admit that I love this print, but for serious now - WTF DvF?
On a side note, I would’ve loved to see a Batman/Batgirl/Ghost World comic by Luella to accompany her S/S 2008 collection [one of my favorite RTW collections of all-time, hands down]. I feel like she totally could’ve nailed it.
