A very much belated report on New England Comic Con/Wizard World New England
Complete photo set HERE :D
A few weeks ago, I attended one day of New England Comic Con [a once-small comics show that was bought out by Wizard World]. While the convention itself was pretty lackluster, I had a pretty fun time with my friends while reviving my Girl Wonder costume. I spent most of my time walking around with @Powergirl [as Robin] and @awyeahlife [as The Question/Renee Montoya].

I also saw my friends/fiends of Arkham’s Finest cause mayhem during the convention center [and repeatedly threaten to make me their Girl Hostage]. In terms of cosplay, there was a very odd assortment of costumes in the convention, varying from Elmo suits to Mr. T to a plethora of Buffy and Batman costumes.
I made sure to beeline to Artist Alley, to visit my friend Sara Richard and to pick up one of her Deadpool prints for Kyna. If you ever run into Sara at a local convention, be sure to check out her stuff - it’s absolutely breathtaking! She did some amazing Teen Titans commissions for @awyeahlife [which can be seen here] and for @powergirl [which can be seen here/below]:
After making my rounds to visit my friends at their respective booths, I finally conjured up the courage to meet Burt Ward and Adam West. This has really been a life-long dream of mine, so you can imagine how incredibly nervous I was, but they were both incredibly sweet. Burt loved my costume, and Adam said that I was the cutest Robin ever [though I’m pretty sure he says that to all of his young wards, but still]. Adam also asked if I could draw something on his table, so I drew a little Batman exclaiming “HI ADAM!” to him. I got them to sign my vintage Batman masks that my Boyfriend Wonder had given me for my birthday.

As for panels, we only ended up going to the Batman ‘66 Q&A with Adam West and Burt Ward, where I asked Burt what his favorite “holy” line was. The answer? “Holy strawberries, Batman - we sure got ourselves in a jam!” ♥
At the end of the day, I watched my friends compete in the costume contest, and somehow, I ended up winning a Wizard World hoodie, despite not actually entering the contest. Yay… !
Oh, and former WWE Superstar Virgil totes hit on me. What the what.
