[White Lantern power ring from New England Comics; geometric ring from Marc by Marc Jacobs]

One of the most frequent complaints I’ve encountered concerning the promotional Blackest Night/Brightest Day power rings have been in regards to how absurdly large they are. In this case, I had to secure my White Lantern power ring from slipping off by wearing another ring on top of it. I had to modify the Green Lantern and Star Sapphire rings that I wore with my Star Sapphire costume by cutting off the tops of the promo rings and gluing them onto adjustable ring blanks. My boyfriend usually tapes the back of his ring to secure it to a wearable size, while some of my other friends have melted/hot-glued their rings shut in attempts for a better fit. I’ve also heard of other ring-slingers modifying their rings to be worn on necklaces, class ring style.
How have you made your power rings more wearable (psst, send photos!)?

o00o awesome ideas i put a ring on top of it like this picture
  2. camasaurus answered: This is why I love the Flash ring that came out around the same time, the plastic is more bendable so I can overlap the ends to adjust it. :)
  3. fyeahlilbit3point0 answered: Hmmm…would making a whole new band be possible?
  4. violencegang answered: I have huge hands, so the power rings are the only ones that fit me. :(

I just get used to the size. I ended up just having my fingers close together and use them to hold the ring in place....
