Black Milk Clothing’s Amazing Batman Collection Features Jock, Bolland, Adams, Dodson, and More
By Betty Felon
After the success of their previous Star Wars collections, Australian fashion brand Black Milk Clothing has launched their first comics-inspired collection with a number of likened Batman items. Taking a cue from the popularity of their limited Harley Quinn-inspired leggings, Black Milk Clothing designed a collection in collaboration with DC Comics and Warner Bros. that combines their signature spandex apparel with Gotham’s Finest — artists, that is, with clothing designed around images created by fan favorites including Jock, Brian Bolland, Terry Dodson, Neal Adams and Andy Kubert.  The Black Milk Clothing x Batman collection combines comics, cosplay, and style with a trompe-l’oeil Batman swimsuit (detachable cape included), a Stephanie Brown-inspired bodysuit, a Killing Joke bomber jacket and more.

Best Cosplay Ever (This Week) - 02.10.13
By Betty Felon
Although cosplay has been present for decades within the comics, anime, and sci-fi/fantasy fandoms, social media has played an integral role in the thriving communities of costuming that exist, such as Cosplay.com and the Superhero Costuming Forum. Over the years, the cosplay community has evolved into a creative outlet for many fans to establish and showcase some impressive feats of homemade disguise, craftsmanship, and sartorial superheroics at conventions. In honor of the caped crusaders of the convention scene, ComicsAlliance has created Best Cosplay Ever (This Week), an ongoing collection of some of the most impeccable, creative, and clever costumes that we’ve discovered and assembled into a super-showcase of pure fan-devoted talent.

ComicsAlliance Presents ‘Kate Or Die’ in ‘Pros & Cons’
By Kate Leth
Welcome to the latest episode of ComicsAlliance Presents “Kate or Die,” a series of exclusive comic strips created by one of our favorite webcomics cartoonists, Kate Leth! In this episode, Kate reviews some helpful tips for enhancing the happiness of your favorite creators at comic book conventions.

A new week, a new strip! Some more tips:
- If you’re getting things signed, take them out of the bags first. Be ready.
- Don’t corner anybody in a washroom. That’s a sacred space.
- Want to make friends with a creator? The offer of a coffee or bottle of water, at the right moment, can go a long way. We forget to eat and drink. We are giant babies.

Not quite fashion-related, but here are some tips to keep in mind if you’re planning to meet some of your favorite creators at conventions this year :)

Best Cosplay Photography Ever: ‘Star Wars’ Shooter Bill Hicks
By Betty Felon
With the growing popularity of cosplay in the world of pop culture (as well as our own Best Cosplay Ever feature), the cosplay community has grown rich with costumers who specialize in creative and intensive skills, from sewing to prop work to makeup artistry, to help bring their beloved fictional characters to life. However, one cannot deny the integral role that cosplay photography plays in the cosplay community, both in properly documenting costume work and utilizing their own artistic talents in completing the transformation of bringing a fictional character to life. Going forward, this feature will occasionally spotlight a specific cosplay photographer who’s skills could put Peter Parker to shame.
Today’s featured cosplay photographer is Bill Hicks, who specializes in stunning cinematic Star Wars cosplay portraiture.
