FYI: due to recent events, Boston Comic Con is canceled this weekend (April 20th - 21st) and will be rescheduled to a later date.
For more information: Boston Comic Con’s official website, Twitter, and Facebook.
Be safe, everyone.
Despite the recent tragedy in Boston, Boston Comic Con is still scheduled as plan this coming weekend (April 20th - 21st). However, be sure to follow Boston Comic Con on Twitter and Facebook for any updates concerning the status of the convention and general security precautions. As of now, please be mindful of bringing prop-weapons to the convention and on public transit - if you have any qualms about whether your cosplay prop will be permitted into the convention center, please contact Boston Comic Con.
As for myself, I will be attending the convention the entire weekend - I will be photographing cosplayers and covering the event for ComicsAlliance. I will also be cosplaying on Saturday with AK and the Boyfriend Wonder, so be sure to say hi if you spot us this weekend!
Are any of you guys attending Boston Comic Con this weekend?
Feel free to drop me a line if you are :)

**APRIL 19TH, 2013 UPDATE**
Boston Comic Con has officially been canceled and will be rescheduled to a later date.
Since convention season is right around the corner, I figured that it’s about time that I posted my convention/events schedule for 2013. Be sure to let me know if you are planning to attend any of these conventions :D
As always, I will have my camera in tow, so if any of you are attending these conventions, you better look sharp (whether you’re attending as a cosplayer or a civilian) - your ensemble may be featured on Fashion Tips From Comic Strips!
Events listed in bold = definite attendance.
Events listed in italics = tentative.

Black Bat & The Spoiler, cosplayed by Betty Felon & Ali Kay
[Boston Comic Con 2012]
At Boston Comic Con, Nate Buchman pulled us aside from the sweltering exhibit hall to do a photoshoot in the more secluded areas of the convention center. AK and I have been wanting to cosplay Cass and Steph for a while now, and I’m still in awe that we were able to pull these costumes together before AK moved across the country. We had a great time bringing our favorite BFFs of the former DCU to life, running around the convention with our capes catching the wind.
We plan on bringing Black Bat & The Spoiler to SDCC (after a few upgrades to our costumes), so look out for us in San Diego this Summer!
Note: A super big thank you to Alex & Juli of Twin Bee, for helping us out with Black Bat’s suit and The Spoiler’s hood ♡ Aside from the boots, the rest of the costume pieces were created by me & AK.

Boston Comic Con 2012 swag: vintage Batwoman & Robin flicker rings (presents from the Boyfriend Wonder ♥)
In action:
I still need to get around to photographing the rest of my Boston Comic Con swag, but for now, here are two of my favorite items that I came home with this weekend :)
Boston Comic Con was so much fun - we had a blast hanging out with friends, meeting some of our favorite artists, and running around in capes. I already can’t wait for next year’s show!
I’ll post a full convention report later this week, but for now, here are some teaser shots of AK & me as Spoiler & Black Bat!

Oh hey, I Batusi’ed my way into the Boston Herald today.
Bonus: My cosplay plans have been revealed as well (though misspelled). I’ll try my best not to trip y’all with my shredded cape~
Check out Boston Herald’s feature on cosplayers going to Boston Comic Con HERE (and be sure to swing by Boston Comic Con this weekend!).
For my local civilians, keep an eye out for the Boston Comic Con 2012 commercial (featuring my crazy comic-devouring eyes). A big thank you to I Hunger Productions and Boston Comic Con for including me in this year’s TV spot!
P.S. Who else going to Boston Comic Con?
