Captain Marvel Tank Tunic, by WeLoveFine, $29
In which, Carol Danvers REALNESS. As you probably already know, I’m a huge fan of trompe-l’oeil costume apparel, but this is probably one of my favorite pieces to date.

Captain Marvel inspi sketch WIP.I saw a girl wearing a jean jacket the other day and I thought: man she looks so cool. So I wanted to draw a simple boyish look with a jean jacket.Oh and I changed my URL name… and my icon. And here’s a drawing I did of my cat Mordecai and my family’s cat Lucca.

I am all about that cropped hooded track jacket/sweater.
Also, those cats.

Wow, I didn’t expect that amount of kind words and sympathy regarding last night’s incident. I am truly touched. Thank you so much. And thank you for conveying so much hugs to my mom and dad XD  My mom came in to my room this morning and said something funny - she said she had an insult she wanted to say to that guy but she held it in so hard her stomach hurts the whole night.

Anyways I spent last night (and this morning) finishing this up (nothing better than to spend pent-up anger on artwork!) - my rendition of the new Captain Marvel costume re-imagined as a dress. The new Captain Marvel’s hairstyle is really a bit hard for me to pin down exactly. Is it short? pinned back? Terry Dodson styled it differently from Dexter Soy’s interpretation and I can’t decide between the two so I just sorta make it up as I go along. Thanks for looking!

I love how Captain Marvel’s emblem is translated into an off-shoulder gown. I also love the elegant gradient touch to Carol’s signature sash belt.

Best Cosplay Ever (This Week) - 10.22.12
Although cosplay has been present for decades within the comics, anime, and sci-fi/fantasy fandoms, social media has played an integral role in the thriving community of costuming that exists today and cosplay communities such as Cosplay.com and the Superhero Costuming Forum. In honor of the many fans who’ve displayed excellence in the mastery of homemade disguise, craftsmanship, and sartorial superheroics, ComicsAlliance has created Best Cosplay Ever (This Week), a weekly collection of some of the most impeccable, creative, and clever costumes that we’ve discovered and assembled into our own super-showcase of pure fan-devoted talent.
Check out this week’s round-up of the Best Cosplay Ever on ComicsAlliance, featuring Raven, Ryuk, Rule 63 Nightwing, Captain Marvel (above), and more!

Captain Marvel sweaters, $3.95 each, circa 1940’s.
Words cannot convey how badly I want this sweater, preferably in white. However, now I feel inspired to make a similar sweatshirt, except with Mary Marvel or Black Adam on it instead.
Another Captain Marvel sweater ad below, featuring Billy Batson himself (modeling a sweater with himself on it. WIN.) :
