Wow, I didn’t expect that amount of kind words and sympathy regarding last night’s incident. I am truly touched. Thank you so much. And thank you for conveying so much hugs to my mom and dad XD  My mom came in to my room this morning and said something funny - she said she had an insult she wanted to say to that guy but she held it in so hard her stomach hurts the whole night.

Anyways I spent last night (and this morning) finishing this up (nothing better than to spend pent-up anger on artwork!) - my rendition of the new Captain Marvel costume re-imagined as a dress. The new Captain Marvel’s hairstyle is really a bit hard for me to pin down exactly. Is it short? pinned back? Terry Dodson styled it differently from Dexter Soy’s interpretation and I can’t decide between the two so I just sorta make it up as I go along. Thanks for looking!

I love how Captain Marvel’s emblem is translated into an off-shoulder gown. I also love the elegant gradient touch to Carol’s signature sash belt.

Finally done with this! I did a dress design based on Phoenix’s costume (originally designed by Dave Cockrum) - I imagine in real life the phoenix logo on her chest will be embroidered in beads, as do the gold details on her sleeve. This kinda took me forever. I’m terrible with backgrounds - I tend to make them very cluttered, so it took quite a while to clean everything up so she will be the focus of the artwork.————————————————————— ARTWORKS

This Phoenix-inspired evening gown is gorgeous - I love the detailing on Jean’s puffy sleeves.
… Does it come in red?

“Call me Dazzler, darlin’. That’s my name — and that’s what I do. Dazzle people.”

(See Rogue here.)

LOOK AT THAT DISCO BALL HELMET, YOU GUYS.
This is absolutely amazing… though it makes me regret ditching tryouts for the roller derby team in college :(

A new take on the old Catwoman.

Catwoman, by Erica Henderson.
I love this modernized take on Catwoman’s classic digs; Erica successfully transformed Selina’s signature purple and green wrap dress into a simplified (yet incredibly wearable) belted mini-dress that I wouldn’t mind stealing for myself. The purple wedged ankle boots look both stylish and comfortable, while the cross body backpack is just purrfect for toting your stolen jewels to the safety of your catacombs.

I..don’t know why this came about. Now that sweater weather is almost over, and spring is coming, all I can think about are breezy dresses. Her pose is really Harley Quinn rather than Miss Marvel but the dress really calls for it.Ok I really gotta work on that Black Jewels piece now T___T

I really love the balance between the full black skirt and Ms. Marvel’s fitted sleeveless leotard. I wonder if I could coordinate my Krypton Girl leotard into a similar casual ensemble once the weather gets warmer…
Between this and her Wonder Woman dress, I really hope this means that we’ll see more superheroic dress sketches from Hanie in the near future :D

Zatanna, by sojinnn.
One of my biggest gripes regarding civilian wear in most modern comics is how out-dated most of the outfits are, especially on the teenage heroes. That said, I really love how sojinnn styled a teenage, Young Justice-era Zee; this ensemble manages to look casual, yet stylishly put-together. Although I’m usually a fan of audacious costume-inspired civilian ensembles, I can’t help but feel compelled by the subdued feel of this character redesign, with just a hint of Zatanna’s usual magician attire via that adorable card suit skirt.

Drew this tonight to reward myself for completing half of my work! (half yikes T__T) It’s a Wondy-inspired dress, re-worked based on an old doodle in my sketchbook. Also - I have a Facebook page for my dinky arts so please follow if you like those stuff :3 ————————————————-

Can this entire outfit please be real? This ensemble is simply too perfect, from the gold headband to the red & white T-strap heels.

Bat-Manolo, by Erica Henderson
Despite the fact that Manolo Blahniks would probably be my last shoe of choice when it comes for combat, Bats’ gams look undeniably fabulous in those Bat-heels.
Just one of the many amazing Bat-pun sketch cards that Erica submitted for the Dark Knight on a Dark Night gallery at Hub Comics. Feel free to check out some of my favorite pieces from the show here, and the entire gallery on Hub Comics’ Facebook page.

Catwoman Pin Up | Poison Ivy Pin Up | Harley Quinn Pin Up
By Maria Danalakis

I love these retro pin up redesigns of the Gotham City Sirens, especially Selina’s cat-eared cap and Harley’s red playsuit.

For those of you who are still looking for a last-minute holiday gift for that special femme fatale in your life, Maria has these prints available for sale (at $10 a pop!) on her Etsy :)

This is pretty much a styling cheat sheet of how I coordinate most of my outfits (plus a matching hair bow).
