Catwoman, Christian Dior Haute Couture, Spring/Summer 2001.
Inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costume in Batman Returns.

I love how this ensemble incorporates structural and design aspects of both Selina’s office civvies in the film and the black patent trench coat that Selina reconstructs into her costume.

And now I suddenly feel inspired to create a skirt inspired by this Christian Dior design, inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer’s digs in Batman Returns…

I guess I better get sewing.

Cosplay Photo Highlights From New York Comic Con 2011 [link] As you know from our previous roundups of convention cosplay from San Diego, Dragon*Con and of course our weekly Best Cosplay Ever feature, we are big fans of cosplay. The comics, sci-fi, gaming and fantasy communities’ talents for homemade disguises, craftsmanship, and sartorial superheroics were definitely on display last weekend at New York Comic Con, and you’d better believe ComicsAlliance was there to take in as much as we could. Check out some exceptional examples of superheroic cosplaying talent that we spotted in New York on ComicsAlliance! How many fellow Tumblrers can you guys spot? :)

After hitting up two Dunkin Donuts with no avail, I finally fulfilled #THEPACT today. Although this endeavor was not quite fashion-related per se (though I did go shopping during my journey for Captain America donuts), #THEPACT was most definitely comics-related. Spearheaded by Chris Haley (of Let’s Be Friends Again) and many donut-loving comics-enthusiasts on Twitter, #THEPACT consisted of a united vow to sample the Captain America donuts at Dunkin Donuts today and to tweet photos of our fulfilled pledges to @LBFAInc. Check out #THEPACT on Twitter to see who’s participated thus far! Be sure to check out today’s strip of Let’s Be Friends Again, featuring Chris Haley and Curt Franklin fulfilling #THEPACT themselves!
