Barbara Gordon wears Marc Jacobs Spring 2012, with a bonus Dick Grayson wearing Ovadia & Sons Fall 2012 for tigerlilyattack Marc Jacobs seemed so wonderfully inspired by 20’s and 60’s attire that I couldn’t resist. Happy Belated Valentine’s Day! Hope you like :’)
(Details I missed and didn’t fix because of lazy: her pockets and his right double pocket. Kind of want to do another one later to showcase her blue dress and shoes more.)
I’m still in love with this redesign by bowlerhats.
Yeah. This is a bunch of Ramonas for some kind of Scott Pilgrim contest I guess.
I wanted to colour them traditionally - but there was no time to, like, mess it up. So here are my lame ps-skills
~*~*GRAND PRIZE WINNER*~*~
Here’s the GRAND PRIZE WINNER!
At first I felt like it was almost unfair for these to win! Look at how great these all are… I have never heard of Hanna K from Sweden before but now I want to see everything she ever does.
She did six Ramonas (plus a few more after!) and not only are they all cute and unique, they all look like something Ramona would have worn in the book (but didn’t). The colors are bright and poppy and fun and every outfit is delightful.
Congrats Hanna K!!! Please send me an email so I can send your prize! (firstname.lastname@example.org)
That wraps up the contest!!! I’M SO GRATEFUL TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED AND I’M REALLY SORRY IF I COULDN’T GIVE YOU A PRIZE OR HIGHLIGHT YOUR ENTRY HERE — I LOVE EVERYONE :0 :0 :0 :0 :0 :0 :0
These are all too cute - I think my favorite redesigns are the top blue x black outfit and the mint x coral ensemble.
Wow, I didn’t expect that amount of kind words and sympathy regarding last night’s incident. I am truly touched. Thank you so much. And thank you for conveying so much hugs to my mom and dad XD My mom came in to my room this morning and said something funny - she said she had an insult she wanted to say to that guy but she held it in so hard her stomach hurts the whole night.
Anyways I spent last night (and this morning) finishing this up (nothing better than to spend pent-up anger on artwork!) - my rendition of the new Captain Marvel costume re-imagined as a dress. The new Captain Marvel’s hairstyle is really a bit hard for me to pin down exactly. Is it short? pinned back? Terry Dodson styled it differently from Dexter Soy’s interpretation and I can’t decide between the two so I just sorta make it up as I go along. Thanks for looking!
Miss Martian inspi fashion sketch. Cute and sassy(maybeXD?). Suggestions on how to achieve this look!
Navy blue crop jacket. Be sure to button only the top so it give it that cape neck effect!
Yes it might be a little hard to find one with green lining so that’s a definite op. Secondly, yes it might be a little hard to find a crop jacket with short sleeves but possible!
Any plain ol white tee.
Red suspenders. It’s kinda funny because MM has the red X on the front of her costume but instead that’ll be on the back of this outfit.
Navy blue shorts.
Green thigh highs. (Or you can use blue or two tone socks).
Navy blue heels. Or you can op for flats or boots!
Thanks everyone for the messages, likes, reblogs, suggestions, and follows : )!
Be fashionable and let the nerd in you shine at the same time :D! If anyone creates any of these designs IRL, I’d love to see pictures. I totally understand if you don’t wanna be in it because I don’t like getting pictures taken of me XDD.
As you can tell I like crop jackets, shorts, and thi-high socks XD. Perhaps it’s the coming beautiful warm weather that’s putting me in the mood… and I just love thi-highs. But you know these are only suggestions so if you don’t like shorts and skirts, pants are just as great.
Finally done with this! I did a dress design based on Phoenix’s costume (originally designed by Dave Cockrum) - I imagine in real life the phoenix logo on her chest will be embroidered in beads, as do the gold details on her sleeve.
This kinda took me forever. I’m terrible with backgrounds - I tend to make them very cluttered, so it took quite a while to clean everything up so she will be the focus of the artwork.
Since I’m a sucker for dresses and retro silhouettes, it’s no wonder why I love these redesigns of the Gotham City Sirens. However, I feel like a green wiggle dress (à la Joan Holloway) would’ve better suited Pamela Isley.
Holy heartthrob, Batman - check out this amazing Robin-inspired pin-up ensemble in Artist Alley on Saturday afternoon! I love how she refashioned the laces on Robin’s tunic into bows and simplified the cape into a chic detachable collar.
