megarinri:

Miss Martian inspi fashion sketch. Cute and sassy(maybeXD?).Suggestions on how to achieve this look!
Navy blue crop jacket. Be sure to button only the top so it give it that cape neck effect!Yes it might be a little hard to find one with green lining so that’s a definite op. Secondly, yes it might be a little hard to find a crop jacket with short sleeves but possible!

Any plain ol white tee.
Red suspenders. It’s kinda funny because MM has the red X on the front of her costume but instead that’ll be on the back of this outfit.
Navy blue shorts.
Green thigh highs. (Or you can use blue or two tone socks).
Navy blue heels. Or you can op for flats or boots!
Accessorize!
Thanks everyone for the messages, likes, reblogs, suggestions, and follows : )!Be fashionable and let the nerd in you shine at the same time :D!If anyone creates any of these designs IRL, I’d love to see pictures. I totally understand if you don’t wanna be in it because I don’t like getting pictures taken of me XDD.As you can tell I like crop jackets, shorts, and thi-high socks XD. Perhaps it’s the coming beautiful warm weather that’s putting me in the mood… and I just love thi-highs. But you know these are only suggestions so if you don’t like shorts and skirts, pants are just as great. Also soon enough I’ll link online stores where you can buy some of these clothes next to the bullets. I’ll keep pricing in mind too : )!Robin inspi.Wonder Woman inspi.Kid Flash inspi.

I love how the suspenders and cropped jacket are worked into this look.

Finally done with this! I did a dress design based on Phoenix’s costume (originally designed by Dave Cockrum) - I imagine in real life the phoenix logo on her chest will be embroidered in beads, as do the gold details on her sleeve. This kinda took me forever. I’m terrible with backgrounds - I tend to make them very cluttered, so it took quite a while to clean everything up so she will be the focus of the artwork.————————————————————— ARTWORKS

This Phoenix-inspired evening gown is gorgeous - I love the detailing on Jean’s puffy sleeves.
… Does it come in red?

Street Miracle by me (onionhan).
I have no idea why I keep making these. Here’s the design I have for the street version of Mister Miracle. This can also be found on my art blog.

I would love to see an entire street wear line inspired by the New Gods.
Just saying.

Gotham Noir: Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, & Catwoman print, by artofegle.
Since I’m a sucker for dresses and retro silhouettes, it’s no wonder why I love these redesigns of the Gotham City Sirens. However, I feel like a green wiggle dress (à la Joan Holloway) would’ve better suited Pamela Isley.

Fashion of New York Comic Con 2012: Raven

I ran into this girl rocking an ensemble inspired by megarinri’s redesign of Raven in Artist Alley. I love how she swapped the cloche hat for more of a Raven-esque hood.

Fashion of New York Comic Con 2012: Robin
Holy heartthrob, Batman - check out this amazing Robin-inspired pin-up ensemble in Artist Alley on Saturday afternoon! I love how she refashioned the laces on Robin’s tunic into bows and simplified the cape into a chic detachable collar.

A gorgeous Bat-outfit based on bloodymariathefirst’s Lady Batman design that I spotted on Saturday. I couldn’t get over how beautiful the Bat-peplum top looked in person!

Fashion of New York Comic Con 2012: Power Girl (worn by Paigey)

Stellar artist and overall babe, Paige Pumphrey got the masses of New York Comic Con swooning last week in her gorgeous Marilyn Monroe x Power Girl ensemble! From her rockabilly redesigns of various X-Men to battling conventions in a retro Wonder Woman-inspired getup, Paigey’s ability for merging pin-up fashion and comics is unmatched. For her Power Girl ensemble, she re-purposed her wedding dress (!) and coordinated it with a Marilyn-esque bob and matching accessories in red and blue. My favorite detail of her entire look is how she translated Power Girl’s gold shoulder armor into big gold sweater clips. Brilliant!

Denis Medri Gives Batman and Friends a Rockabilly Makeover [link]

Artist Denis Medri created a series of 1950s-inspired redesigns of characters from Gotham City, transforming Batman’s friends and foes into a stylish cast of rockabilly vigilantes, varsity team sidekicks, and sinister Teddy Boys. From Bruce Wayne’s Batmobile-styled hot rod to Catwoman’s Bettie Page-invoking getup, Gotham has never looked this darn peachy keen.

Pulling inspiration from the ’50s and pop culture, Medri’s rendition of Gotham City is an absolute delight that successfully fuses nostalgia with the Bat-Universe. Barbara Gordon’s redesign pulls directly from Grease, translating the dynamic between Barbara and her alter-ego as Batgirl by borrowing fashion cues from Sandy’s wardrobe. Likewise, Medri’s interpretation of Two-Face resembles a split personality between Happy Days’ Richie Cunningham and an evil Fonzie, while The Riddler greatly resembles 3-D from Back to the Future.

Although most of these redesigns contain a degree of costuming elements with the masks and cowls, Medri’s illustrations serve as fine examples of how to adapt the signature styling elements of the Bat-family and Arkham’s finest into casual yet unique cosplay options, if not wearable retro street fashion. The Nightwing varsity jacket serves as a great styling update to the classic superhero emblem t-shirt, with letterman jackets being on-trend over the past couple of years. The restyling of Harley Quinn and Two-Face are a fine example of the striking effects that simple color-blocking, layers, and pattern mixing can have when coordinating an ensemble.

haniemohd:

After drawing Wonder Woman in a dress, it’s only fitting that I draw one of Wonder Girl. (also I can’t seem to kick out the Wonder Woman/ Wonder Girl themes from my head yet! and would you want to wear this dress? I would totally wear this dress.)
Back to sifting through emails and work….graghhedit: this works as a skirt and blouse ensemble. I meant to say that instead of dress, now why did I say dress? Darn this late hours and bad TV shows scrambling up my brain XD———————————————————————-

Truth be told, I think that I may actually love this redesign even more than Hanie’s Wonder Woman dress! The boatneck top is a lovely interpretation of Donna’s original boxy Wonder Girl tank top, while the full star-spangled skirt creates the perfect balance (and a flattering silhouette) for the entire look.
