Agent Coulson Lives tee, by We Love Fine, $25
[available in men’s and women’s sizes]

In spirit of the trailer for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (and out of pure love for Phil Coulson). Personally, I dig the impact of the simplicity of this tee, but if this isn’t your cup of tea, check out We Love Fine’s huge catalog of Agent Coulson/S.H.I.E.L.D. designs HERE!

Bonus: The first trailer for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. can be seen below (click on the tiny grey rectangle!)

Classic 1966 ‘Batman’ Halloween Costumes Are Coming This Year
By Chris Sims
After years of being unable to capitalize on the classic Batman TV show, it looks like Warner Bros. and DC are wasting absolutely no time on making up for that. Since merchandising rights were sorted out, they’ve announced a new line of action figures, a digital comic series, and now, we’re getting full-on Batman ‘66 costumes for Halloween. The costumes include Batman, Robin, Batgirl, the Riddler, Catwoman and the Joker, and for store-bought costumes, they actually look pretty good — even if the Joker doesn’t include a moustache.
Check out bigger pictures on ComicsAlliance!

I’m pretty quick to scrutinize store-bought Halloween costume replicas, but these costumes look pretty dope (though Batgirl could use a bucket of glitter).

Kickstarter: Sweethearts of the Galaxy Web series, by Michael Premsrirat

A cosplayer believes she actually is a superhero. Don’t you wish it were real? Wish granted. Starring Kit Quinn and Tallest Silver.

With the influx of nerdy reality/game shows and cosplay documentaries, it’s refreshing to see this clever fusion of cosplay and reality in Sweethearts of the Galaxy. Be sure to check out this Kickstarter for more information (and to donate!).

Teen Titans x Converse sneakers, $35.99 [available at Journeys]
Teen Titans Robin x Converse sneakers, $37 [available at Converse]

Last Wednesday, I was invited to an event at the Converse store in SoHo, where I got an exclusive sneak peek on the latest and upcoming additions to the Converse x DC Comics collection. The shoes that immediately caught my eye were the Teen Titans Chucks, based off of the designs from the Teen Titans Go! cartoon series. While I wasn’t an avid fan of TTG!, I’m thrilled that Converse finally released kicks featuring my favorite sidekick.

Unfortunately, these Teen Titans sneakers are only available in youth sizes at the moment. Now, I know that I can’t be the only adult who wants Robin sneakers, right?*

Side note: the motif on the inner tongue of the Robin sneakers is killing me. I require a pair of Chucks with an allover Robin symbol motif ASAP.

*RIGHT.

I’m not sure how many of you watch 30 Rock, but Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) borrowed some fashion tips from The Joker last Thursday, on an episode aptly titled “The Tuxedo Begins.”

Upon the realization that fellow New Yorkers ignore the rules that she once abided by, Liz introduces a little anarchy to her morning commute by dressing up like a smelly hobo in order to ensure the true luxury of personal space on public transportation. Liz’s final transition into sociopathy results in an ensemble resembling The Joker, including crudely applied lipstick, a green waistcoat, and of course, a purple coat. By the end of the episode, I immediately mandated my friend Jasmine to cosplay Joker-fied Liz Lemon this year.

Bonus: Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) channels Bruce Wayne by wearing a full tuxedo for the entire episode.

Furthermore, this episode proves my theory that a quality comedy within the NBC-multiverse will find a way to incorporate a Batman costume (see: The Office, Parks and Recreation, Community).*

Watch the full episode of “30 Rock - The Tuxedo Begins” on Hulu!

*Though, I’m definite that even Batman wouldn’t be able to salvage Whitney.
